Caya Diaphragm Gel

Caya® Gel - For use with diaphragms

Caya® Gel is a gel for use with the hormone-free barrier contraceptives diaphragm. The Caya® Gel increases the safety of these contraceptive methods. Use without a contraceptive gel has been proven to be less safe.

Caya® Gel is identical to Contracept® green, which was manufactured from 1972 to 2002, and ContraGel® green, which has been available since 2005.

Mode of action

Caya® Gel uses the cellulose it contains (gelling agent) to form an additional physical barrier in front of the cervix and stabilizes the pH value of the vaginal fluid.

Application

Before insertion, about a teaspoon (approx. 4ml) of Caya® Gel is placed into the membrane of the diaphragm. The respective instructions for use should be observed.

Notice

Caya® Gel does not provide protection against sexually transmitted diseases. Caya® Gel alone, used without a barrier contraceptive (diaphragm), is not a safe contraceptive method. Caya® Gel is water-soluble, therefore compatible with condoms and perfect for contraception without hormones.
